BEST MARINE PRODUCTS LLC (BMP) – RETURN POLICY
RETURN POLICY INFORMATION
At Best Marine Products LLC (BMP), we stand behind the quality of our products and strive to ensure customer satisfaction. If your purchase does not meet your expectations, eligible products may be returned for a refund or replacement in accordance with the terms below.
Custom and Personalized Products
Many of our Sea Chest systems are custom-built or personalized to meet the specific requirements of each vessel and customer. Because these products are manufactured to order, ALL CUSTOM AND PERSONALIZED SEA CHEST ASSEMBLIES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL SALE AND ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN, REFUND, OR EXCHANGE, except in cases of defects covered under BMP's Warranty Policy.
ELIGIBLE RETURNS
Standard BMP products, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing components
- Composite manifolds
- Pick-ups
- Flush grates
- Valves
- Fittings
- Pumps
- Other non-custom inventory items
may be returned if you are not satisfied with your purchase, subject to the conditions outlined below.
GENERAL RETURN CONDITIONS
Eligible products may be returned within thirty (30) days from the original purchase date provided that:
- Proof of purchase or a valid sales receipt is provided;
- The product is returned in clean, saleable condition;
- The product has not been modified, altered, or improperly installed;
- All original components and packaging, when applicable, are included.
BMP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSPECT ALL RETURNED MERCHANDISE BEFORE APPROVING ANY REFUND OR CREDIT.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
- Custom-built or personalized Sea Chest systems;
- Special-order products manufactured specifically for a customer;
- Overstock, clearance, closeout, or sale items, except as provided under BMP's Warranty Policy;
- Products returned more than thirty (30) days after the purchase date;
- Products returned without proof of purchase;
- Products that are excessively worn, abused, modified, or damaged due to misuse;
- Products damaged during return shipment due to inadequate packaging.
Restocking Fee
A 10% restocking fee will apply to approved non-warranty returns of eligible products, including composite manifolds, pick-ups, flush grates.
The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount issued to the customer.
OPENED OR DAMAGED PRODUCTS
BMP understands that customers may need to inspect products upon receipt. However, ITEMS THAT ARE OPENED, USED, INSTALLED, DAMAGED, INCOMPLETE, OR RETURNED WITHOUT A VALID RECEIPT MAY BE DENIED A REFUND OR MAY BE SUBJECT TO A PARTIAL CREDIT AT BMP'S SOLE DISCRETION.
OVERSTOCK, CLEARANCE, AND SALE ITEMS
All overstock, clearance, and discounted sale items are sold AS-IS.
These products may only be returned if they qualify under BMP's Warranty Policy due to a manufacturing defect. BMP cannot guarantee replacement availability for discontinued or clearance merchandise and may, at its discretion, issue a store credit for approved warranty claims.
NON-WARRANTY RETURNS
Examples of non-warranty returns include ordering the incorrect item, purchasing the wrong size or configuration, or returning a product for reasons unrelated to a manufacturing defect.
NON-WARRANTY RETURNS:
- Must be requested within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date;
- Must include proof of purchase;
- Must be returned in saleable condition;
- Are subject to inspection upon receipt;
- May be denied if the product shows signs of installation, misuse, cosmetic damage, or functional damage.
SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are responsible for properly packaging returned products to prevent damage during transit.
BMP is not responsible for products damaged while being shipped to or from the customer. Claims related to shipping damage must be filed directly with the applicable shipping carrier.
Unless otherwise approved by BMP, customers are responsible for all freight charges associated with non-warranty returns.
WARRANTY RETURNS
If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect covered under BMP's Warranty Policy, please refer to the BMP Warranty Terms and follow the warranty claim procedures outlined therein.
Warranty claims remain subject to inspection and approval by BMP.
RETURN AUTHORIZATION PROCESS
- Contact BMP by email to orders@bestmarineproducts.us to request a Return Authorization (RA) before returning any product or by filling out our Return Form.
- An RA number does not constitute approval of a refund, replacement, or credit.
- Returned products will be inspected by BMP upon receipt.
- BMP will notify the customer via email of its determination within approximately ten (10) business days following inspection.
- If a return is denied, the customer may elect to have the product returned at the customer's expense or authorize BMP to dispose of the product.

BMP reserves the right to modify this Return Policy at any time without prior notice. This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
